Great American Adventure 1988 - Part One

In the summer of 1988 I headed west... across the Atlantic to New York... and then across to California on several Greyhound Buses. A three day trip full of caffeine tablets, Devil worshippers and fast food! And in true fashion of "keeping it free" here on Anchor - the following full length music tracks were used care of The Free Music Archive:
"American Life" by Silence is Sexy
"I Hate America" by Moms Jeans
"California" by The Spectacular Fantastic
"L.A." by the Nighttime Adventure Society
And finally this last track I did a couple of 15 second samples from: "Americana Jam" by The Underscore Okestra

WRF Magnificent Seven Podcast Review

After only spending a short time on the Anchor.fm podcast platform I've come across some really cool podcasts & podcasters. This podcast is a review of the current "Magnificent Seven Podcasts" that I've found so far. Each in their own way has something that appeals to me - that makes me want to go back and listen to them again. I hope the podcasts I've reviewed like what I've said about them! And after you've listened to them I'm sure you'll agree they were worthy to be in my first "Magnificent Seven Podcast Review" and that they'll become your favourite as well. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Keeping it Free - the small musical breaks between reviews were all taken from this one track:

Fab Fours French Frolic - Part Deux

T'was the Summer of 1983 as four fine young strapping lads set off on a hitch-hike to the South of France from the North of England. The Fab Fours French Frolic - Part Un dealt with the hitch-hike down to Le Sud. Part Deux sees what happened after we left Avignon... where we went... what we did... and how we met Jim Morrison. This was a truly great adventure in my life. A trip that I Iook back on with fond memories and strange twitch anytime someone mentions ravioli. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Several bits of music were used in the making of this podcast.
Whole tracks were:
Wine Wine Wine by Stompin' Riff Raffs
Tequila 10 Seconds by John Wesley Coleman
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Partial (edited) tracks were:
Stormy Blues by Arne Huseby
Variation/Drum Call/Slow Scotch/Quick Scotch/Yankee Doodle by The United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps

Christmas Special 2018 - From The Car

So I was driving home...stuck in a 2 hour traffic jam... and I started to think about Christmas and what it meant when I was younger. Ideally I should have been sitting in front of a warm log fire, sipping brandy, and recounting tales of my Christmas youth with joy & merriment. In reality I was stuck on the M11 motorway heading south rambling away to myself like a madman! :) Anyway - an "Early Merry Christmas" to you all! (Is this the first "Christmas Special" podcast you've heard this year? Please let me know? :) )
